I graduated from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln with a Bachelors of Science in Education and Human Services. My time as a Husker helped me explore my desire to work with people and grow my talents with some amazing professors and peers. I am a Certified Personal Trainer through the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA). I firmly believe fitness and nutrition should fit into life, not the other way around. My fitness goals are always changing, so I take a more intuitive approach that is organized, yet flexible. I believe fitness is a precise balance but its definition is fluid and it can change as we do.
If you are interested my personal training services, face-to-face or online. Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
I also serve as a coordinator for a local TeamMates chapter. TeamMates serves students by connecting them with mentors from their community who visit them in school once a week. My experience with TeamMates has taught me the value of relating to others. I hope your time on my blog only inspires you to seek more reality and less virtual reality. If being a mentor appeals to you, check out http://www.teammates.org to see if there is a local chapter near you. Trust me, mentoring is worth your time.
Just for fun: My top 5 strengths according to the Gallup Strengths survey are: Developer, Maximizer, Relator, Positivity, and Arranger. I love dogs, I’m a beach bum at heart, I grew up on a dairy farm, I enjoy gardening and hunting, and did I mention I love dogs?
